Carey Cares
We are a generous community here at Carey Tercentenary. We are preaching the Gospel message when we give sacrificially for the benefit of others, to advance the Kingdom and care for God’s people. Your gifts support the ministries at Carey Tercentenary, which include the Back to School Supplies giveaways, Food Pantry, Women and Children Shelters, College Scholarships, Health Fairs, Thanksgiving Baskets giveaways, coat, hat, gloves and scarves giveaways and the angel tree. Community Youth Programs
The Carey Youth are taught Biblical Principles in Sunday School and in a variety of activities including Vacation Bible School, outings to other churches, Play Street (program that provides a safe place for youth to play), Hunger Walk for the Chicago Food Depository, Camp Baber and the Let’s Move program in line with former First Lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama where children are encouraged to enjoy activities that motivate them to be active.
School Supply Giveaway
The Missionary Society is the driving force behind the School Supplies Giveaway. Book bags filled with donated school supplies are given to each child (Kindergarten thru High School) in attendance at the Rev In Blue Jean Service in August.
Food Pantry
We distribute food provided by the Chicago Food Depository to the residents of our surrounding communities on each Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Residents may visit the pantry two times a month.
